Quarantine Poetry

During this long quarantine I haven't much to do, the only thing I think about is what I never thought of: how I never really noticed how the time flies by. I've been staying up late and I sleep in even later doing schoolwork in the evening and maybe baking/cooking later but I never really realized how the time flies by. I eat a lot of sugar but I make enough to share and with a very clingy kitty sending fur out everywhere I guess I never really thought of how the time flies by. I cook and bake and sew all while brushing out my hair with yoga here and there, flour and sugar everywhere I just never really noticed how the time flies by. So take your time and ease your mind as any quarantine it is not timed. no one knows when it will end someday the end will be 'round the bend. Before that however, this I must say pay attention to the time don't let it fly away. Not much to do, even less to see during this long quarantine. ...

Light as a Feather

I am light as a feather. My home is my tether. We'll stay here together. Like birds of a feather. And like birds of a feather, We must stick together. Through sad, darkened weather, I'll stay, be your tether. I'll keep you beside me Like birds of a feather. I am light as a feather. I fly free in the wind. I am independent, Free from sin. I travel the world. Soaking it in. Pretending to be on a cruise to Berlin. My life is wonderful, I am free, not as, but from  a bird, Light as a feather, And beautifully absurd. Burglary poetry

BEWARE OF   DOG  DEMON Once, there was a break-in. I could not understand why. Who'd want to be inside this old house of mine? You see, In 1812 my house burned down. It was the talk of the whole town. I died that night, while playing death, and woke up to the smell of meth(ane). My porch lit up flames upon flames into the interior and left some dark stains. The curtains were gone and so was my little cove and then those bright flames they blew up my stove. The kitchen was under my room, you see and when it it blew up it blew up me. I died that night while playing death and 10 years later a criminal broke in. Now do you see why I don't understand why someone would break in to an old haunted house filled to the brim with sin? I cheated death in such a way that my body died and I stayed the same. Now I live as a spirit with this insane human along with the ashes and ruins and demon lurking in shadows waiting to pounce and to trap this poor...

Thanksgiving: The Real Feast

We've all heard the story of the pilgrims and the Indians getting together all friendly-like to celebrate the good harvest. Truth be told, the party didn't go down quite like the children's story says. The tradition now known as Thanksgiving went through some stuff to become a national holiday. And although there are many versions of the story, one in particular says that the First Thanksgiving was a bit more hostile than storybooks let on. The pilgrims were indeed holding a feast to celebrate the year's harvest and good health, but they also wanted to show their strength to the Natives in the area. Several men went out bearing arms and fired. The Natives saw this as a threat, and sent ninety men stomping on the pilgrims party. They did their part to contribute, bringing anywhere from five to nine deer to add to the meal. The games and gluttony went on with a cold air, and was named the First Thanksgiving. Other versions as to what really happened include the well-known...

Negativity Attacks

The Pressure Is On Eighty percent of teenagers give in to negative peer pressure. Many times, giving in to this negative pressure leads to a trip to the E.R., being hospitalized, or even death. Once kids go off to school, parents lose their grip and lack control. When their teenage years come around, peers are the greatest influence on other teens. Have you ever given in to any kind of pressure, or maybe you knew it was happening, and you just wanted it to stop so you do what your "friends" want? You are one of the 80%. Kids give into many things, for many reasons, on many occasions. They may give into drugs, sex, bullying others, and changing their look. Some reasons for this weakness are: they just want it to stop, they start believing they are worse than they really are and need to fit in to stand out, or they want to be considered "cool" and think it's fun. Pressure may come harder on a kid's birthday, or a special event in school like a field tri...
