Once kids go off to school, parents lose their grip and lack control. When their teenage years come around, peers are the greatest influence on other teens. Have you ever given in to any kind of pressure, or maybe you knew it was happening, and you just wanted it to stop so you do what your "friends" want? You are one of the 80%. Kids give into many things, for many reasons, on many occasions. They may give into drugs, sex, bullying others, and changing their look. Lots of people think the number 13 is unlucky. Some residential hotels actually avoid having a 13th floor. A full moon is said to bring out the worst in people, and increases the amount of crime going around.  Friday the 13th has been considered an unlucky day for quite some time, it is also said to bring bad luck. There are two main reasons for this. The first one being centered around the Norse god of mischief and disorderly conduct, Loki. It is said that twelve deities came to dine at a gods' feast when Loki came into play. He raised the number up to 13 and killed one of the gods in the process. The biblical reason for this day to be considered unlucky reflects the whole Loki thing greatly.      We've all heard of that devastating day that took place on September 11, 2001. To this day, we honor those who sacrificed themselves for other lives. This was a day when strangers helped strangers. When wives, children, brothers and sisters lost their fathers, siblings, husbands and children. This was a day, a chance, for America to truly unite as one nation once again.      Todd Beamer was among the passengers aboard flight 93. He left behind two sons and a pregnant wife. When the third and final plane was hijacked, Beamer took the responsibility of getting all the other passengers on board with his plan. Everyone had a part to play.
